Battery monster

As I am putting drum mags on my blaster I wanted more battery life. Plan is to replace connector with Deans T-plug

and run a line to a mounted bag

and hide this in the bag

I think this would work well.

Wow that is an awesome battery. Got any guesses on how long it would run for?

They agreed to make connector with 30cm cable. Can order more if anyone is interested.

10000mah was a bit ambitious as it is 164x64x30mm,
10000mah or 15000mah would have to have cable run up sling and mount on web gear or tac pack.
6000mah is 155x48x28mm and will fit in the stock bag.

I just dont see the the need for such a large battery. I used mine for 6 hours of gameplay yesterday and still didnt go through a whole 2200mAh battery.
I have 2 batteries just incase but never had the need to change batteries ever.

Wasn’t the first time i’ve had that many rounds on one battery, is that unusual? I have only ever had the blaster I got now.
Played outdoor and indoor so different game play and never had to change by battery after 3L of gels through it.
And its a proper 2200mAh battery from hobbyking not the 2200mAh wannabees off ebay.

xt 30 will be heaps. blaster shouldn’t see more than 10 amps.
that should last a few weeks.
how does it balance with all the weight in the back now.

Yeah, XT30 would be fine… and not too big (to conceal)

No matter how big the battery is (size, weight,C rating or whatever) … it only has to give out what the motor/electronics ask for… if the battery can give all of what the motor demands… that is ok… any more size and capacity only extends ‘play time’…

Some folks think that if they put too big a battery onto something… the battery will make the motor faster or stronger… but motors are wound for a voltage, as long as the voltage is correct the battery can be as big as you like.

I explain it like this… the battery is like a ‘body of water’ the amps is like the water. Say you get a 5’ long garden hose and syphon the water out of the bucket… X amount of water comes out of the hose. Now you go to Hoover Dam and start syphoning water over the dam wall and the same X amount of water comes out of the hose… even tho there is so much more water in the dam than the bucket.

I am a big fan of bigger batteries on blasters… I dont mind externally mounting them… I hate running low on batteries in the field… almost as bad as running out of gels (right when you need them most) DoH!!

HI Mate…first timer here…may I ask what battery and charger you are running…I just bought a HK416, would like to get into skirmishes and will need a second back up battery…you sound like you are happy with yours?

@Ian_Wilson. Used mine at indoor cqb during the week. 2.5L of gels used and i still have to discharge the battery to get it to storage voltage.! Its a 2S battery.

And thats the charger
