How are gel balls manufactured?

Hi all,

Does anyone here know how the gel balls manufactured?
I know that they are made from polyacrylamide but how does the manufacturer create the the powder into little beads and also add the dye?

I have searched high and low on google and youtube and found absolutely nothing.
Would really be interested to see if anyone has see the process for themselves.

That’s very interesting reading. So gel balls are 98% water, of course !
