Motor brush spring does anyone know how to fix it

Hi does anyone know how to fix this brush motor spring or where I can get them. Can I make my own?

my initial thought would be from a crappy donor motor.

you probably could make one but it would be fiddly af and then there’s a reliability question

Check out ebay mate. They’re relatively cheap just need to wait about 4 days for delivery but they’ve got a pretty good range to choose from.

Or you can maybe use a spring from a click pen n solder it on yourself.

oh now…thats just wrong eh :stuck_out_tongue:

How did you go with your spring problem mate??

I used some from my standard motors but the spring keeps breaking

Breaking?

I have never had one of those springs break before

It actually burnt out (it glowed red hot and broke) - I’ve used springs from stock motors I think 3 motors I’ll get a picture of them. I might check out jaycar as well

Check the brush shunt wires, they should be carrying the current not the brush springs
