NOTICE: growing pains

ALL:

we apologise for the growing pains we’re experiencing under the hubris of DigitalOcean

the forum is being prepared for migration to amazon where recovery and management will be significantly better.

whilst we prep all the 1’s and 0’s in the background, if y’all have any forum oriented desires (no, i am not able to fix shipping issues) send them through either via PM to me or as a post.

all reasonable and achievable upgrade ideas will be considered

Sweet… explains the weirdness of the forum today…

Maybe incorporate a dedicated section for blaster basics, principles behind the mods we do, etc? It would be really handy for absolute beginners. :+1:

Excellent idea.
Would help people who have just gone out and bought one, and then their first question here is “what mods can I do to it”, without understanding what those mods actually accomplish (or don’t)

I like this idea so I went and did some reading

Abstract and conclusion only needed to appreciate the idea but it seems that it may not be ideal for deep content

upvoting is good for the Q and A sites but we’ve got a more broad range of content. I think a range of constrained reactions might be a good fit. SHow appreciation, compliance, etc.

Is someone out of the kindness of their heart paying for the hosting of this forum? If so maybe a patreon set up for the forum so members can help cover costs. $1 a month from those interested and if there is an excess of funds then once every 6months an item to the value specified is voted for and a prize drawn for patreon members.

It’s been on my mind also.

Presently we are ALL guests of @BigWeetBix

Part of the AWS work I’m doing is hopefully to reduce some of these costs for him
